Every now and then as a Flower Farmer, one gets the opportunity to kick off those muddy boots. Such as being interviewed by the lovely Irish Times Journalist Jackie Corcoran, or indeed the equally lovely Ray Darcy of RTE 1 radio fame, talking about all things flowery and more.
I also enjoy giving talks to Garden Clubs and Horticultural Students, about the life of a Flower Farmer. I am so looking forward to doing workshops on Flower Arranging in the not too distant future.
We have also been featured in the very popular Wedding Magazine Confetti.
Every day brings something new, not least working on set with our Flowers, for a beautiful dreamy Music Video by the very talented Canadian singer Forest Blakk.
I have featured and am a member of the Wedding Blog ‘One Fab Day’. I am also a Member of the Flower Farmers of Ireland, whose ethos is seasonally locally grown Irish flowers, with emphasis on Grown not Flown.

Confetti Magazine - The Real Wedding Issue
Bizzy Lizzies Flowers featured in this issue of Confetti Magazine Spring 2019, article titled Woke Wedding, which was all about the carbon footprint of one's wedding. Choosing wedding flowers, locally grown like ours, here in Dunmore East Co. Waterford has a very positive impact on the environment, all helping to cut down on the carbon footprint.
On the whole most flowers sold in Ireland are imported as far away as The Netherlands, and South America, the latter a place where, very often the working conditions are deplorable. The carbon footprint is enormous, and with climate change already having a detrimental effect on the environment, this is not in the mid to long term, sustainable.
